Where each kind of question gets answered fastest
Some questions are best in the form above, some in the open on GitHub, where the answer helps the next person too. Each topic below says where it goes and what to put in it.
A commercial licence
Skald is free to self-host for your own sites and your clients' sites. A licence is needed to offer Skald itself to others as a hosted or managed service. Say what you plan to offer and to whom.
Hosted Skald
Questions before a trial: how your traffic reaches hosted Skald, how many sites, what a report looks like. To start a trial now, the free trial form is quicker: we set it up within one working day.
A security problem in Skald
Say what it touches, not how to exploit it, and we reply with a private channel. You can also use GitHub's private report: the Security tab of the repository, then Report a vulnerability. Never send real visitor addresses or secrets.
A Code of Conduct report
Read in confidence by the maintainers. Say what happened, where, and when. The Code of Conduct is on GitHub.
Help installing or running Skald
Ask in GitHub Discussions, where the answer helps the next person too. Say how you run it (Docker, the install script or from source), your web server, and what skald doctor says.
A bug
Open an issue with the version (skald version), what you did, what happened and what you expected. Use sample addresses like 192.0.2.10, never real visitors' ones.

How do I report a security problem?
Pick Security in the form at the top of this page, or use GitHub's private report: the Security tab of the repository, then Report a vulnerability. Say what it touches, not how to exploit it, and we reply with a private channel.
What happens to my message?
It is kept on our own server with the time, your IP address and your browser's name, and mailed to us. We use it only to answer you. The privacy note has the detail.
